I think lightning struck my home or office, and I need confirmation for my insurance company.

Lightning strike data is only available through Vaisala's National Lightning Detection Network. 

You can learn more about the data they collect and the different types of reports at vaisala.com.  Do a keyword search for "StrikeNet."

If you need any other kind of weather data for an insurance claim, you will likely need certified records from the National Climatic Data Center.   

You can order certified datasets through the NCDC's website at climate.gov  or by calling the NCDC at (828) 271-4800.  Please be aware that both Vaisala and NCDC charge for certified reports.
